In the face of resource and funding cuts, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again, or MAHA, commission, released a report this month about the uptick in childhood diseases. In the report, the commission outlines what they believe to be the reasons behind the uptick. It also comes as Kennedy’s agency also announced changes to COVID-19 vaccine guidance. And states across the U.S. are weighing the benefits of imposing a tax on sugary drinks.
