Washington saw an unusual face-off today as 2 cupboard secretaries went head-to-head in a health and fitness challenge. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. tested Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to complete 50 pull-ups and 100 push-ups in under five minutes, an occasion they called the “Pete vs Bobby obstacle.” Surrounded by Navy and Marine workers, the 2 competed against the clock, with Hegseth finishing simply over 5 minutes and Kennedy close behind. Some Marines finished the difficulty even much faster. The event belonged to Kennedy’s “Make America Healthy Again” project and Hegseth’s push for army fitness criteria. The set also invited Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to participate, turning the Pentagon gym right into a high-energy competitors.
